Waste material generated during the construction, renovation or demolition of a location cannot be placed in your containers. Order temporary service for construction projects here.

Special Waste Collection
Special and toxic waste items like treated wood and/or hazardous liquids or solids must be handled by our Special Waste Department. Schedule a Special Waste Collection by emailing [email protected] or calling Athens’ Customer Service Department at 888-336-6100. Fees may apply and additional documentation may be required.

All items below can be mixed together in a construction and demolition collection container. Athens can also isolate loads based on LEED requirements if requested at time of order. These items include:

• Asphalt
• Carpets
• Concrete, bricks, and masonry
• Doors
• Drywall
• Earth, dirt, and rock from site clearings
• Lumber (from construction)
• Pallets
• Pipes
• Plastics
• Plumbing fixtures
• Salvaged building components
• Scrap metal
• Shingles (asphalt)
• Windows and glass
