Wine & distilled spirit containers are accepted in your recycling container.

Prep for Recycling

• Empty all contents from bottles and/or cans.
• You do not need to flatten or crush beverage containers. 
• For glass bottles remove caps. Metal caps go in the recycling; mixed material and plastic caps go in the trash. For wine bottles, natural corks may be allowed in your organics container depending on your city. Place all other corks in your trash container.
• Always keep labels on beverage containers to ensure CRV redemption.
• Athens accepts broken glass. Please place it in the recycle container.
