It is illegal to place Hazardous Waste in any collection container. The State of California provides a list of banned materials from the landfill that require special drop off.

What Is Considered Hazardous Waste?
Hazardous waste includes anything labeled toxic, poisonous, corrosive, flammable, combustible, or irritant. It is illegal to dispose of these items in your waste containers, sinks, or storm drains. Contact with these materials can be extremely dangerous for waste workers, the community, and the environment.
