What Is Considered Bulky?
– Items that are too large to fit in the trash container
– Items that are heavy
– Items that are not allowed in trash, recycling, or organics containers
– Research your city page (residential or commercial) to confirm acceptable items and process
– Note: Athens does NOT collect mirrorsglass, or hazardous waste as part of bulky item pickup

Schedule A Bulky Item Pickup
Most cities require customers to schedule Bulky Items collections in advance. Check your city page (residential or commercial) to confirm.

Prep For Bulky Item Pickup
– Protect children, remove or secure appliance doors
– Place item curbside, do not leave it in the street or blocking driveway
– An item that cannot be handled by two (2) workers will NOT be accepted
